Hi…this was very helpful! Thank you! Are there any more pages?

Hi, Lauren…

Yes, all pages should be posted by the end of the month or close to it.

Thanks,

Dr. Gaudet

Very clearly demonstrated with the calculator help and all.

On number 45 part b the demonstrated answer is (0,15) but it is actually (0,-15).

This website was very helpful.

awesome!

Do not explain problem 5 very well for final. I’m not sure where to go either.

Hi, Leslie…thanks for your feedback. I took a look at the Livescribe and I agree with you that the explanation, without reference to the graph, is potentially confusing. Take a look at this solution and see if it helps. There is no audio but hopefully the picture, along with the audio part of the Livescribe you watched, will help make things more clear.

Thanks for using this site! Dr. Gaudet

I don’t understand how you’re getting your answers for 27 and 28

Hi, Ashley…the trick on those is to enter one side of each equation into the Y1 slot in your calculator and the other side in for Y2. Press Window to change the window to the values indicated. Then, use 2nd>Calc>Intersect and press the enter button three times to see the intersection and obtain the solution to the equation. Hope this helps!

On question 53, I am getting 11+41/32 and I am not getting the right answer no matter what I do. Why is this??

And on 55, I am putting 3x/5-x in y1. my graph is nothing like yours.

Hi, Drew…

On 53, factor the top as (x – 4)(x + 4) and then the fraction will reduce to x – 4.

On 55 be sure you are putting ( ) around the 5 – x in the denominator to get the correct graph.

Hope this helps!

okay I don’t know if I am the only person who clicks on numbers 23-32, but when I click to open the solutions, I get directed to the livescribe website and not the solutions where you are talking through them!!
